    Dr. Vijayan K. Asari is a Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Ohio Research Scholars Endowed Chair in Wide Area Surveillance at University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. He is the director of the University of Dayton Vision Lab (Center of Excellence for Computational Intelligence and Machine Vision). Dr. Asari had been a Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia till January 2010. He was the founding director of the Computational Intelligence and Machine Vision Laboratory (ODU Vision Lab) at ODU. Dr. Asari had been working as an Assistant Professor in electronics and communications at TKM College of Engineering, University of Kerala, India. In 1996, he joined the National University of Singapore (School of Medicine) as a Research Fellow and led a research team for the development of a vision-guided micro-robotic endoscopy system. He joined the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 1998 and led the computer vision and image processing related research activities in the Center for High Performance Embedded Systems at NTU. Dr. Asari joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Old Dominion University as an Associate Professor in August 2000. He was tenured in 2006 and promoted to Full Professor in May 2007. Dr. Asari was chosen to be Ohio Research Scholars Endowed Chair in Wide Area Surveillance at the University of Dayton after an extensive national search and he accepted the position and joined UD in February 2010. Dr. Asari has published more than 800 research articles, including 150 peer-reviewed journal papers and 7 edited books. Dr. Asari is a Fellow and Life Member of SPIE (Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers) and a Senior Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). He is a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS), IEEE Computer Society, IEEE CIS Intelligent Systems Applications Technical Committee, IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society (SMC) Technical Committee of Human Perception in Vision, Graphics and Multimedia, IEEE Internet of Things (IoT) Community, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T), IS&T Data Analytics and Marketing Task Force, Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC), and American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). Dr. Asari is the co-organizer of several SPIE and IEEE conferences and workshops.

  • Richard Chbeir: Professor, University of Pau and the Adour Region, France.

    Richard Chbeir is a professor of computer science at the University of Pau and the Adour Region in France, where he leads the computer science laboratory called LIUPPA. He is the director of the Semantics & Privacy in Digital Ecosystems Research group (SPiDER). He is currently working on information and knowledge extraction. Chbeir is the head of the OpenCEMS industrial chair and is the creator of the MEDES Conference. Dr. Richard Chbeir received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of INSA- FRANCE in 2001. He became a member of IEEE since 1999 and senior member of ACM. His research interests are in the areas of heterogeneous datab management, Data similarity and query rewriting, spatio-temporal applications. He has published (more than 200 peer-reviewed publications) in international journals and books (IEEE Transactions on SMC, Information Systems, Journal on Data Semantics, Journal of Systems Architecture, etc.), conferences (ER, WISE, SOFSEM, EDBT, ACM SAC, Visual, IEEE CIT, FLAIRS, PDCS, etc.), and has served on the program committees of several international conferences (ADBIS, WISE, CoopIS, ACM SAC, IEEE ISSPIT, EuroPar, SBBD, etc.). He has been organizing many international conferences and workshops. He is currently the Chair of the French Chapter ACM SIGAPP.

  • Jixin Ma: Professor, University of Greenwich, UK.

    Dr Jixin Ma is a Full Professor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at University of Greenwich, U.K. He has been the Director of the Centre for Computer and Computational Science and the Lead of Artificial Intelligence Research Group, and the Director of PhD/Postgraduate Research Programme. Professor Ma is also a Visiting Professor of Beijing Normal University, Hainan University, Anhui University, Zhengzhou Light Industrial University and Macau City University. Professor Ma obtained his BSc and MSc of Mathematics in 1982 and 1988, respectively, and PhD of Computer Sciences in 1994. His main research areas include Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Information Systems, with special interests in Temporal Logic, Information Security, Machine Learning, Case-Based Reasoning and Pattern Recognition. Professor Ma has been a member British Computer Society, American Association of Artificial Intelligence, ACIS/IEEE, World Scientific and Engineering Society, and Special Group of Artificial Intelligence of BCS. He has also been the Editor of several international journals and international conference proceedings, Conference/Program Chair, and Invited Keynote Speakers of many international conferences. Professor Ma has published more than 200 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences.

  • Dariusz Jakóbczak: Senior Lecturer, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland.

    Research field: artificial intelligence, numerical methods, probabilistic methods, operational research, game theory.

    Dariusz Jacek Jakóbczak was born in Koszalin, Poland, on December 30, 1965. He graduated in mathematics (numerical methods and programming) from the University of Gdansk, Poland in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in computer science from the Polish – Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From 1991 to 1994 he was a civilian programmer in the High Military School in Koszalin. He was a teacher of mathematics and computer science in the Private Economic School in Koszalin from 1995 to 1999. Since March 1998 he has worked in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland and since October 2007 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Chair of Computer Science and Management in this department. His research interests connect mathematics with computer science and include computer vision, artificial intelligence, shape representation, curve interpolation, contour reconstruction and geometric modeling, numerical methods, probabilistic methods, game theory, operational research and discrete mathematics.

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitrios A. Karras received his Diploma and M.Sc. Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in 1985 and the Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, NTUA, Greece in 1995, with honors. During 1990-2004 he collaborated as visiting professor and researcher with several universities and research institutes in Greece and Heidelberg, Germany (DKFZ). During 2004-2018 he has been with the Sterea Hellas Institute of Technology, Automation Dept., Greece as assoc. prof. in Digital Systems and Signal Processing, as well as visiting prof. of Hellenic Open University, Dept. Informatics in Communication Systems (2002-2010). Since 1/2019 is Associate Prof. in Digital and Intelligent Systems & Signal Processing, in National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, School of Science, Dept. General as well as adjunct Assoc. Prof. Dr. with the School of Basic Sciences, BIHER University, Chennai, India, as well as with the GLA university, Mathura, India and EPOKA & CIT universities, Computer Engineering Dept., Tirana. He has published more than 80 research refereed journal papers in intelligent and distributed/multiagent systems, pattern recognition, image/signal processing and neural networks as well as in bioinformatics and more than 185 research papers in International refereed scientific Conferences. He has served as program committee member as well as program/general chair at several international workshops and conferences in signal, image, communication and automation systems. He has been cited in more than 2500 research papers, and his H/G-indices are 21/51 (Google Scholar) and his Erdos number is 5. His RG score is 31.94, in the highest 10% of scientific researchers.

  • Li Cheng: Associate Professor, University of Alberta, Canada.

    Research field: computer and robot vision, multimedia data analytics, visual human motion analysis.

    Li Cheng is professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta. He received my BSc degree in Computer Science from Jilin University in 1996, M. Eng. degree from Nankai University in 1999, and PhD in Computing Science from the University of Alberta in 2004. He is an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Multimedia (TMM), Pattern Recognition, and Computer Vision and Image Understanding (CVIU). Prior to joining University of Alberta, He worked at A*STAR, Singapore, TTI-Chicago, USA, and NICTA, Australia. He has over 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His papers have been Nominated for Best Paper Award at CVPR 2021 and have won the Most Insightful Paper Award at the CVPR 2023 Workshop on Vision-based Industrial Inspection. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI). He has supervised or co-supervised several research students and postdocs.

    Dr. Robert M.X. Wu is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Professional Practice and Leadership at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, University of Technology Sydney. He is also an associate editor of the Electronic Journal of Business Research Methods (an Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) journal). Dr. Wu holds a Ph.D in information systems/e-commerce, Master of e-commerce, Master's program in computer science, Bachelor of economics, and Diploma in computer science. Dr. Wu is a pioneering researcher in digital transformation, driving the transition from traditional to digital business, or e-business.
